A little video history of Gene Gendlin ... the father of Focusing.
A gal in my cohort made this little video about Gene Gendlin and how Focusing came to be. If you want to learn more, this is a good little video.
What's really valuable is that Gendlin discovered that when a client could attend to a non-verbal bodily felt sense in therapy session, they were likely to find lasting change. Focusing is what he developed in order to assist people to sense, describe and listen more deeply to these "felt senses" within.
